What we do

We use research driven and participatory approaches drawn from design, innovation, learning and engagement, heritage and foresight. We see creativity, culture and learning as key to engage people with the world and with each other. And we centre social benefit and social sustainability as goals which can anchor and drive other measures of success.

  • Research & strategy

    We’re most often engaged to identify creative opportunities. We use research driven and participatory approaches drawn from design, innovation, learning and engagement, heritage and foresight.

    We use distinctive methodologies to explore influencing factors, diving into data, collaborating with ethnographers and anthropologists, interviewing and prototyping. We’ve popped up, prototyped, curated, convened and assembled in the interest of grounding our research in possibility. 

    The resultant creative studies and strategies might be applied in cultural, commercial or academic contexts. 

  • Creative development

    We see creativity, culture and learning as key to engage people with the world and with each other. We’re often engaged to work from research and strategy into concepts & ideas development. 

    This could mean large scale model and proposition development but we’re always working at the small and immediate scale, hands on prototyping, commissioning and creative directing and testing. 

  • Engagement & learning

    We’ve curated activities and exhibitions, convened talks and edited publications, instigated networks and conceptualised new learning formats. From one off workshops or seminars, to deeper immersion in learning experiences, we’ve worked with teams big and small to convene conversations, plot futures and develop skills.
