Mexico Creative Leadership Programme

During February, Forth director Dee Halligan was invited by the Institute for Creative and Cultural Leadership at Goldsmiths to deliver a talk and to mentor participants in a new programme for creative and cultural leaders in Mexico.

The 12 participants – all high achievers in Mexican institutions – heard the story of Forth’s recent inception as a Community Interest Company, bringing together 2 organisations and 10 years of high profile work. In turn they shared their ambitions and plans, and conveyed a very different world (with strongly overlapping preoccupations) to the studio (via the inevitable zoom).

We’ve worked in Mexico twice – once with the Maker Library Network, once on a still top secret eco-cultural/tourism project and not counting a failed research bid with UNAM (Mexican National University) which we still feel sad about. As the world opens up again we’re looking to the future with high hopes for more of the rich creative stimulus and inter-cultural challenges these kinds of projects bring.
